Aion is overrated. see you back on wow in 2 months.

There are several MMOs that do that, mostly all Asian-made.Blade & SoulJade Dynasty…to name two for starters

It really depends on what kind of experience you are after. The sorcerer, while being a bit fragile, is an outstanding damagedealer and has a lot of crowdcontrol options needed for groupplay, and once you get the hang of it you can do a lot in PvPvE as well.Ranger is a bit mroe durable, but if your opponent in PvPvE is skilled, or you get a multitude of foes in PvE, you are in trouble. Against single targets a ranger compares well with a sorcerer in damage, and has nearly no downtime at all.Assassins different, and are also very well-suited for PvPvE, as they require less skill than rangers, and more tactics. They are outstanding against single foes in PvE as well, but are in trouble against multiple foes.So it all comes down to what and how you want to play, in PvE, PvPvE and what role you want to fill.

I have dropped out of WoW completely to play Aion. Aion beats WoW in every way that is important to me; game mechanics, looks, story, systems and a lot more.I played WoW since classic up to Wrath and when Aion came out I just dropped it and walked away. I am stuck on Aion and I cannot see myself leaving anytime soon.As for beginner tips: It all comes down to how you want to play, and it is hard to advice you. I can however tell you that 1-10 is something you can do easily enough, so if you find that your class does not suit you you can easily redo it.Professions are hard too, depending on how you play. If you are good and industrious at gathering then professions are godsends as you can make really good gear for yourself, but if you would rather be killing than mining or picking flowers then you are going to run out of mats, and time very quickly.

I think you re talking about the balaur but you canno t play with that class that s a monster that you have to beat

There are four primary classes, and you can “ascend” to one of two specialized classes for each branch.WARRIOR- Gladiator: Melee physical DPS (Class skills: http://aion.yg.com/skills?cl=5 )- Templar: Tank (Class skills: http://aion.yg.com/skills?cl=6 )SCOUT- Assassin: Melee physical DPS (Class skills: http://aion.yg.com/skills?cl=7 )- Ranger: Ranged physical DPS (Class skills: http://aion.yg.com/skills?cl=8 )MAGE- Sorcerer: Ranged magic DPS (Class skills: http://aion.yg.com/skills?cl=9 )- Spirit Master: Ranged magic DPS; Summoner (Class skills: http://aion.yg.com/skills?cl=10 )PRIEST- Chanter: Mix of a healer/ranged magic DPS/buffer (Class skills: http://aion.yg.com/skills?cl=11 )- Cleric: Healer (Class skills: http://aion.yg.com/skills?cl=12 )The above are very general descriptions of each class (you did say “brief”, right? :p). You might want to peek at the official PowerWiki if you want more details: http://powerwiki.na.aiononline.com/aion/Classes

Good picks!Let’s go through them one by one by your criteria, shall we?The “there are not a lot of” varies from server to server, so you have to check the server statistics for your chosen realm off NCSoft’s homepage to see how common your class is.Spirit Master – Exceedingly good solo-play capacity due to the minion you tote around. Straight damagedealer and limited crowdcontrol in groupplay meaning you are “not important”. In PvPvE often used to take out enemy rangers and sorcerers, very useful, but not highly sought after. A good choice.Sorcerer – Outstanding damage-capacity but less survivability on your own. With alchemy and cooking you can buff yourself, and do well in PvE with him. In groups they are Crowdcontrol and vital to group composition. In PvPvE they need to plan their battles, or else get crushed. In sieges they need to be protected or end very quickly.Gladiator – Great survivability due to plate and very decent damage-output. Can be called upon to off-tank in groups, but this happens less and less frequently the higher you get in level. In PvPvE they are straight damage-dealers and do well when they can get the jump on someone.Assassin – Less survivability but more tricks against a single opponent than the gladiator (which is more focused on hitting more foes than one). This means that they are less sought-after as damagedealers in PvE, and are really good at PvPvE, as they can sneak up and ambush lone characters.

There are only two true offensive spellcasters; Spirtmasters and Sorcerers. Sorcerers have more outgoing firepower, and the spiritmaster has a summon spirit to help him/her stay safe. They have comparable basic health, but spiritmasters have a higher survivability when they can use their spirits effectively.Clerics and chanters use spells, but not to kill things, but of the two the clerics use more spells. The chanters mostly hit things with a big stick.

WoW is better.. Switch to aion even level up to 50.. Not much to do.. While wow keep you going with update… Arena and Raids.. Also coming BG Rated..

Chris June 26, 2011 at 5:25 am

Personally, I think sorcerer is the best for just outright winning in PvP.Cleric is better if you plan to play with some friends though.

There is no option to change your class. Once you’ve picked a templar, you’ll always be a templar on that character. And don’t think I heard of an announcement that this will ever happen.

Samjoko. June 27, 2011 at 6:14 am

Hmm, I’d probably go with Gladiator. They’re more of the warrior types that deal heavy damage and can take a hit. Right now I’m an Assassin, and it’s pretty fun to sneak up on your opponent and kill them in a short burst of time. Only problem is if you don’t kill them right away, it could mean trouble. Anyway, a templar might be a good choice too, but they’re more like tanks. Ranger is always good if you want to keep your distance from your opponents. Anyway, all jobs are up to the player, so just pick your preference!
