I’m so sorry for the late answer, i just searched for a question about games and found yours. Alot of people had this problem too including myself and my husband, after missing 1 day of aion cuz of downloading and still 50% left to go, we went to fileplanet and downloaded aion which only took 2 hrs or less! we were relieved to play finally. today was the last closed beta, but this afternoon i emailed an aion supporter and they told me that the open beta hasnt been decided on when itll start, but to keep checking the aiononline.com site. I’m also asking if theyre planning to wipe on the open beta, i will keep you updated! i hope you were able to try out aion at least! again im so sorry for the late answer, if you add facebook (kinda like myspace) aion keeps updates there every now and then, and people on there thats registered gives helpful answers. if you have any questions add me on there too, mines Jenn Vandergriftgood luck! ^^

I have dropped out of WoW completely to play Aion. Aion beats WoW in every way that is important to me; game mechanics, looks, story, systems and a lot more.I played WoW since classic up to Wrath and when Aion came out I just dropped it and walked away. I am stuck on Aion and I cannot see myself leaving anytime soon.PvP in Wow is about honourgrinds.PvPvE in Aion is about sieges and raids. It is a LOT more fun.Character customization in Wow is a joke.Character customization in Aion allows you to pick pretty much any appearance. (I have met Obama and Charlie Sheen-lookalikes)Armor/weapon variety in WoW (classic) is very small, in TBC everyone looks like a clown and in Wrath noone looks bad, but everyone looks the same.Armor/weapon variety in Aion shows off some rare sets, ability to dye and alter the appearance of most pieces of gear and remodeling to make them look like other pieces.End game contents in WoW is about dailies and farmraids. *yawn*Aion is not about end game, but about the full game (wow just tries to get you to 80 so you can go do dailies!) but has some stuning PvPvE contents (including the Balaus cruisers) and more is coming.

I’ve played WoW and its just not fun anymore. Aion is fresh, new and has amazing graphics and customs. I hope it works out, because it has the potential to be amazing. I was in the closed beta and now I am in the open one, and they seem to be working really hard on making it all work before the actual game comes out. I’m excited!

You have to pay for one month to get your free month. So either you need to enter your one-month payment plan using your credit card, or you have to get a gametime-card from your game retailer, and use the code on there, pay for one month, and play for two. This is the same as for most MMOs which has monthly payments.

Parts of the program have to be installed to the internal drive. You’d need a portable version of the program (and there probably is none) to do it your way.

No.I also have a crappy connection (DSL through Fairpoint…As soon as the year is up they are gone). Anyway, what I do when I have a large download is just start it before I go to bed, turn my monitor off, and let it download over night. And, sometimes that isn’t even enough.

No, imo nothing will beat WoW except for what Blizzard releases as their next MMO for that audience (Blizz are making another mmo but it’s for another kind of audience), because THEY know specifically what people want because of WoW. Aion got kinda close-ish because it was soo similar to Wow but the controls and gameplay were kinda crap imo (I have both games).

No they cannot. They are opposing factions. The game is player versus player orientated. This means that you would have goals within the game to kill each other. The factions are like opposing teams, and you would absolutely not be able to play together.If you want to play together, you must both pick the same server and the same faction. (Either both Asmodian or both Elyos.)

Wikipedia says 15 GB. But be sure to have 16 or 17 free, at least. As windows slows down a LOT when you are low on memory.

Hi, buddy. I find the best and easiest methods to get kinah ingame:1. “Making friends with the Trade Brokers”. This stands for the Auction House manipulation method I apply to other games. This is like in the real economy. It is all about buying low and selling high. For this to work you need to investigate the market and learn a little bit (or more than a little bit) of the server’s supply and demand. Learn to dominate your server and create monopoly for the items on demand, and this will bring you cash.2. Also gathering makes a great answer to your question. Even if they might not be so expensive, resources are always on high demand, because players need them for crafting. I found that the best resources to gather and sell are the low level ones and the high level ones. The middle level once are tend to sell harder. Contact the crafters and offer them to supply the resources in high quantities and at a reasonable prices. This way you know that your good will sell faster. You even can get orders from the “hardcore” crafters.3. Grinding. If you’re going to try to make a living in Atreia just by killing mobs and selling the loot, this will be tough. Still, you can make nice profit if you know what mobs to kill for their loot. A great tip here, sometimes items with low utility value can be very expensive because they look very cool. So check out your loot twice before vendoring it. Also, I suggest to kill the mobs that drop consistent and regular loot, and have chances to drop rare items too. This way, you can count on a decent amount of cash and if you are lucky, you hit the jackpot.These are just the basics of kinah making. Sometimes I found it’s kinda boring and hard for me to keep doing dailies and things like that. Actually, I have bought some kinah for times because I didn’t have much time really during my work. And it brought me a great of fun. Lol Fortunately, I didn’t get hacked or banned by doing so. Personally I think the reason why I didn’t get caught is that I chose a reliable site to purchase it. The Chinese version for Aion is not in beta, it is live in most of china and korea and other parts of Asia. The beta that is out right now is the U.S beta or Western Beta. In September Aion will be released for western areas like the US and the UK and Europe areas. The Aion beta for this later release is a closed beta. I have heard from a few sources that if you were to pre-order the game, you get a key code that allows you to access the closed beta along with a link to download the client.
